About Family Promise of Tualatin Valley

Family Promise of Tualatin Valley (FPTV) equips families experiencing homelessness to achieve stability through shelter, case management, and wrap-around support. We partner with local governments, congregations, businesses, and community members to ensure every family has a safe place to call home.

FPTV is entering an exciting period of growth. With expanded shelter capacity, new partnerships, and a strong foundation of public funding, we are now building our philanthropic program that will sustain this work for the long term.

The Opportunity

FPTV is investing in its first Development Director to build and lead a growing development program from the ground up. The Development Director will serve as both strategist and hands-on fundraiser, designing systems, cultivating donors, and establishing a culture of philanthropy across the organization.

The Director will join the leadership team, oversee all private fundraising activities, and partner with the Executive Director to build a development team to move our philanthropic programs forward.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in nonprofit development, with demonstrated success in individual and major gifts.
  • Proven ability to design and execute fundraising strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
  • Experience mentoring staff and engaging board members and volunteers in fundraising.
  • Proficiency with CRM and donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect, Bloomerang, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed leadership.
