Portland Tennis & Education is a non-profit organization that offers one-on-one tutoring, group tennis instruction, life skills instruction, and parent advocacy and training to K-12th grade participants in our year around program. Key Responsibilities:
- Donor Relations Management
- Develop and manage donor relations programs, including and not limited to new donor welcome program, recurring donor program, and donor stewardship.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned donors and other supporters.
- Research and perform outreach to donor prospects.
- Establish and ensure consistent donor engagement via a mix of phone calls, in-person visits, and written correspondence.
- Develop and implement donor data collection policies and practices.
- Perform new and different donor relations duties as needed.
- Grant Program Support
- Identify and screen grant opportunities on an on-going basis.
- Draft and edit LOIs, applications, and reports, including collection of required data and stories of program impact.
- Produce and send program updates to current and prospective foundation/grant partners twice annually.
- Perform new and different grant program duties as needed.
- Manage Advancement Team Operations
- Manage donor platforms to ensure accurate record-keeping, generate insightful reports, and analyze donor trends.
- Research and recommend fundraising-related integrations that could reduce barriers to giving and diversify PT&E’s supporter base.
- Identify and track in-kind and pro-bono resource needs across teams.
- Collaborate with the Director of Advancement on designing and implementing new Advancement-related trainings and tools for staff and Board/Advisory Board Members.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of PT&E’s advancement initiatives.
- Perform new and different team operations duties as needed.
- Event Management
- Develop and manage “social impact events” to attract new supporters and players.
- Assist the Director of Advancement and Board Committees with the planning and execution of fundraising events, including annual galas and donor engagement and recognition events.
- Track and report on outcomes from events.
- Perform new and different event management duties as needed.
- Gift Management & Reporting
- Promote, collect, and process mailed and matching gifts.
- Track progress and generate reports on Advancement goals, fundraising performance, and in-kind donations.
- Serve as Advancement liaison to PT&E’s Finance and Operations Team; process deposits and complete financial reports as needed.
- Collaborate with the Advancement Team to develop and produce the annual fundraising budget, strategic goals, and Impact Report.
- Perform new and different financial management and reporting duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in advancement/development, community relations, client services, or similar role
- Interest in donor/supporter relations
- Proficient with Google office applications
- Ability to use/learn database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Bloomerang CRM or similar
- Ability to write and/or speak in Spanish
