Bookkeeper / Office Assistant (Part-Time)
$25.00 per hour | 10 hours per week | Flexible Schedule | Gladstone, Oregon
The Pacific Northwest District of Kiwanis is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to join our team.
This position is ideal for a retiree, semi-retired professional, stay-at-home parent with weekday availability, or someone seeking supplemental income. We offer a flexible schedule in a friendly nonprofit office environment where your work directly supports volunteer leaders serving children and communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Position Details
- Pay: $25.00 per hour
- Hours: 10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule Monday through Thursday during office hours
- In-office position located in Gladstone, Oregon
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Record and reconcile financial transactions
- Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records
- Process payroll through the District's third-party payroll provider
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and bookkeeping activities
- Maintain member and vendor records
- Process office and member supply orders
- Answer phones, assist members, and provide customer service
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist with meeting and event coordination
- Provide general administrative support to the district office
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of bookkeeping or office administration experience
- Experience with QuickBooks required; QuickBooks Online preferred
- Experience processing payroll through a third-party payroll service preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office technology
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality
