Development Director

Job Title: Development Director 

Reports to: Deputy Director 

FLSA: Full-Time, 40 hours per week – Exempt 

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annually to start, with full benefits package 

Elevate Youth inspires kids to ignite vision, bolster confidence, develop character, and build successful futures. We provide dedicated full-time Teacher/Mentors, day-to-day education support embedded in classrooms, and collaboration between schools, families, and caring community partners.  

Elevate Youth, formerly known as Elevate Oregon, is looking for a seasoned, energetic self-starter with a proven track record of private fundraising success to rebuild and stabilize its Development Department.  The Development Director oversees all development and communications activities including direct fundraising, government and private grants, events, and all communications. The position reports to the Deputy Director and works closely with the Deputy Director, Executive Director and Board to build private fundraising from individuals and corporations, increasing annual revenue from this donor group from $350,000 to over $1M in 3 to 4 years.   

Requirements:  

5+ years of non-profit fundraising and development experience.  

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.  

Demonstrated success leading strategic fundraising initiatives and achieving revenue goals.  

Experience cultivating major donors and institutional funders.  

Ability to analyze fundraising data and use insights to guide strategy.
